Where to meet

Coal River Valley, Valleys of Vino and Huon Valley Wine Tours (Thursday – Sunday), meet your Tour Host at the Tasmanian Travel & Information Centre, Cnr Davey & Elizabeth Streets, Hobart. Please arrive no later than 9.20am

 

Wine Indulgence Private tour customers will be collected from their hotel at the pre-arranged time.

Departure + Return

We depart at 9.30am, so please ensure you arrive by 10 minutes prior to your tour departure time. We have such a busy day, with so many beautiful Vineyards to visit we need to make sure we get away no later than our scheduled departure time.

We return to the same location as we picked you up, Cnr Davey & Elizabeth Streets, Hobart at approximately 4-5pm. If you would prefer to return directly to your hotel, after our initial return, we will happily then continue on to drop you at your CBD Hotel. Just let your tour host know before departing the last Vineyard if you would prefer direct Hotel drop off.

How many in a group

Huon Valley, Coal River Valley, and Valleys of Vino (Thursday – Sunday) run with a minimum of 2 passengers and a maximum of 11.

Wine Indulgence Private tours run with a minimum of 2 passengers and a maximum of 3.

Ticket Prices

Ticket prices are inclusive of GST (Goods & Services Tax) and are in Australian Dollars.

What to bring on tour

Tasmania is known for enjoying four seasons in one day. Because of this we recommend you bring a warm jacket, and wear enclosed footwear.

We will supply umbrellas for you in the event of rain, so you don’t get wet between the bus & vineyards. Don’t forget to bring your camera to take photos of all the beautiful scenery. We are happy to lock your bags and belongings in the bus while visiting the vineyards, however Ageing Barrel Tours will not be responsible for the loss or damage of your personal goods while on tour.

Dietary Requirements

Included in our Full Day Group Wine Tours is a YUMMY lunch prepared from fresh local Tassie produce. If you have any special dietary requirements, please email us at [email protected] and we will arrange an alternative for lunch where possible.

Please note all our lunch menus provide vegetarian & vegan options.

Is Our Tour Vegan Friendly?

It can be!  From growing the grapes to making the wine there is minimal use of any animal based products, in fact, these days more and more winemakers are moving away from using animal based fining agents to remove sediment from the wine.  Preference is given to filtering by gravity, clay and vegetable based fining agents or not filtering at all!  Hence there are many wines about that are vegan friendly – if you are concerned then please let us know at the time of booking and we can create an itinerary tasting all vegan friendly wines for the day. Plus you’ll get to pat some doggos.

Bookings + Payments

Bookings are available in advance via our secure online booking system or via phone up until 9pm the day prior to departure. Bookings are essential. If you would prefer to speak with one of our friendly staff to book your tour, please don’t hesitate to contact our office on 03 6289 5341 to make your booking.

Once you have booked and your payment has been processed, you will receive a booking confirmation via email. Payment upfront at the time of booking is required.

We accept payment by Visa, Mastercard and American Express via our online booking system and over the phone.  A 1.65% credit card surcharge is applicable to all bookings.  To avoid the credit card surcharge we are happy to provide you with our business banking details so you can make payment via bank transfer.  Please note your booking will be confirmed once cleared funds appear in our account.

Cancellation Policy

Changes To Your Booking – You may after you book your tour date up until 48 hours prior to departure, make a change.  A $35 per person administration change fee will be payable on any changes to your booking date made within 48 hours of departure.  If you are unable to book a new tour date immediately we will happily hold the value of your tour in the form of a credit which will be valid for 1,096 days from the date of original purchase.   Once a tour is rescheduled, the administration change fee will be payable and no other changes are available.

 

Refunds – We do not offer refunds, however for cancelations up to 48 hours prior to departure, we will happily hold the value of your tour in the form of a credit which will be valid for 1,096 days. An administration change fee will apply.   Within 48 hours of departure, cancellations, refunds or rescheduling is unavailable.  Once a tour is rescheduled, an administration change fee of $35 per person may be payable and no other changes are available.

 

Please note the administration change fee does not apply for changes to bookings due to being positive to Covid-19 and unable to join the tour.

 

If you are a single traveller and minimum numbers to run the tour (2 people) are not met by midday the day before the tour, you will be contacted by one of our friendly staff and we will arrange a full refund of your ticket price excluding any 3rd party booking fees.

Responsible Service of Alcohol + Safe Consumption

Ageing Barrel Tours is committed to providing its customers with a happy and safe tour environment. We want you, and other guests, to have the best experience possible. In accordance with the Liquor Licensing Act 1990 and our duty of care, Ageing Barrel Tours ensures that alcohol served on the tour is done so in a responsible manner. It is the responsibility of the customer to consume with safety according to their individual dietary requirements, including any food allergies or intolerances.

Minimum Age Requirements

We require our customers to be a minimum of 18 years old to be able to be a part of our tour.

Public Liability

Ageing Barrel Tours holds public liability insurance. In the event of a claim, all dealings would be managed by our policy holder.

Privacy and Credit Card Policy

Personal information including credit card details shared with Ageing Barrel Tours, are solely for the use of running our tours. We do not disclose or share any of our customer’s personal details with any third party.

COVID-19 Policy

If for any covid-related reason you are unable to join our tour, our normal booking cancellation policy will apply.  If you have tested positive to Covid-19 then we will waive our admin fee to transfer your booking to another date within the 365 day credit period.
